Hello! I am Jodi and I started out working in the business world as a programmer and software trainer for over 12 years. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign. Math has been something I have enjoyed since I was a child. It was one of the subjects that actually came easy to me.
Once I had children, I began tutoring students in math. I still enjoyed math and loved helping to make math easier for students and seeing the progress that each student made. I have tutored many students locally in Naperville and online from Elementary through High School Math. Helping students increase their confidence levels has been really rewarding. My specialties are Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra II, Geometry, and ACT/SAT math preparation. I tailor my sessions to each student’s level, ability, and learning style and am very patient. It is important to me that my students enjoy learning with me. My tutoring style focuses on homework help, studying for quizzes and tests, helping in areas where improvement is desired, and preparing for the math section of the ACT/SAT.
